DESCRIPTION

The Snowball Fly-in will be an event for everyone wanting to fly in the Finnish airspace under professional air traffic control.

The suggested airports for this fly-in are listed above but any other airport may be used as well. It is suggested however that you either take off or land at one of the suggested airports since that is where the majority of traffic will be. International flights are most welcome.

All participating airports will be fully staffed with professional ATC.

Also the Finnish winter weather will most likely offer new challenges for many pilots.

CHARTS

Real pilots don't fly without charts. All the required real-world up-to-date charts can be found at DOWNLOADS/CHARTS. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to open the files.

REGISTRATION

Pilots:
Scheduled flights available (optional), get your slot at the registration page. We highly recommend you to book your flight even if flying a non-scheduled flight, ATC will give priority to prebooked flights.

Controllers:
Preregistered positions to guarantee maximum realism. For a list of booked ATC positions and controllers see ATC view.

SCENERIES

The use of these sceneries is highly recommended. Some add-on sceneries have wrong coordinates and can cause a lot of trouble for ATC and other pilots.

Flight Simulator 98: See DOWNLOADS/SOFTWARE.

Flight Simulator 2000: Default scenery recommended.

Flight Simulator 2002: Default scenery recommended. Taxiway sign addon for EFHK, EFTU and EFTP available at DOWNLOADS/SOFTWARE.

VOICE

The primary voice server in use is rw.tt.luth.se. In case of network problems, rw.vatsim-uk.net may be used.

The correct Roger Wilco server and channel always available in the controller's ATIS message.
